Recipe Introduction
Pickle anything in this except walnuts.
List of Ingredients
2 gallons vinegar
1 pound ginger
1/4 pound black pepper [corns ?]
1 pint mustard seed
a few onions or garlic
2 oz red pepper
2 oz cloves
5 oz celery seed
1 pint horseradish
3 oz turmeric
Recipe
Heat the vinegar to a boil with the spices, simmer 15 minutes. when ready to pickle product reheat to the boil and pour over what ever you are canning in jars to within 1/2th inch of top. Seal for proper time. Pint and half pint jars 20 minutes, quarts 30 minutes for pickles. Follow recommended times for anything relishes, chow chows etc....
