    Unknown

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound pork cubes
    flour
    salt and pepper
    2 T oil
    3/4 C sliced onions
    1/2 C bell pepper, chopped
    3/4 pound potatoes, thinly sliced
    1/4 tsp caraway seed
    3/4 C finely shredded cabbage
    1/8 C chopped dill pickle
    2 C sour cream
    1 1/2 T dry sherry
    1 tsp lemon juice
    2 T tomato paste
    1 T sweet paprika
    2 cloves garlic, pressed

    Recipe

Dredge the pork in flour, salt and pepper. Brown in the oil. Remove from heat and set meat aside. Reserve the drippings in the pan and make a sauce of the sour cream, sherry, lemon juice, pressed garlic, paprika and tomato paste. (does not need to be hot).
Arrange half of the potatoes in a casserole dish. sprinkle half of the caraway over, and a generous sprinkle of flour. Add half of the pork, onion rings, cabbage, bell pepper and pickle. season with salt and pepper. Pour half of the sauce over. Repeat with another layer.
Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and bake 1/2 hour.
    I think I used a 2 quart casserole.
If you don't have a garlic press, minced is fine.
