List of Ingredients
1 C molasses
1 C sugar
1 tsp vinegar
1/4 C cold water
2 T butter
1 tsp vanilla
a few grains sodaRecipe
Combine the molasses, sugar and vinegar, add 1/4 C water and cook together over a moderate heat to 250 degrees F. by a candy thermometer, or until a little when tried in cold water rattles against the side of the cup. Add butter, vanilla and soda. Transfer to a shallow , buttered pan. Cool, and when almost cold, mark in squares.
