List of Ingredients

1 cup shortening
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
21/4 cups sifted all­ purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda




Recipe

Cream shortening and sugars well.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Gradually blend in flour, salt and baking soda which have been sifted together.
Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
Remove at once to cooling racks.
