    Recipe Introduction


    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 C shortening
    1 C sugar
    1 egg
    2 C sifted flour
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 C persimmon pulp
    1 C chopped raisins
    1 C chopped walnuts

    Recipe



    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg.
    Sift flour and spices together.
    Stir baking soda into persimmon pulp. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with persimmon pulp. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop from teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes
