Rolled cookies, Farmhouse Cookies

List of Ingredients



• 1 C shortening
  
• 2 C sugar
  
• 4 1/2 C flour
  
• 4 tsp baking powder
  
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
  
• 1/2 tsp salt
  
• 2 eggs
  
• 1 C sour cream
  
• 1 tsp vanilla
  
• 3/4 C chopped nuts
  






Instructions



1. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs, one at a time. Continue beating and add sour cream and vanilla.
   
   
2. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll on floured board, fairly thick. Cut with large round cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet. Decorate with nuts or raisins.
   
   
3. bake at 350 degrees F. for 15-18 minutes.
