    7/8 C butter
    1/2 C sugar
    1/4 pound filberts, ground fine
    2 C sifted cake flour
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp almond extract

    Recipe



    Cream butter or other shortening. Add remaining ingredients. The dough must be stiff enough to hold its shape while baking, so add more flour if necessary. Form small bits of dough into crescent shape and arrange on cookie sheet. Bake in a slow oven, (275-300 degrees F.) about 15-20 minutes. Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm. Makes about 2 dozen crescents.
