List of Ingredients
2 C pound flour
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp baking powder
6 T butter
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 C currants
1 oz candied lemon peel
1 tsp grated nutmeg or ginger
1 egg
1 T milk
Recipe
Mix the sugar and butter. Add the egg, beat thoroughly. Add milk, currants, lemon peel, and last, the flour, spice, salt and baking power, sifted together. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased bake sheet. bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees F.
