Buttermilk Crackers

List of Ingredients
2 C flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 C butter
1/2 C buttermilk
1 large egg
Recipe
Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl, cut in butter until fine. Add buttermilk and egg to make a stiff dough. Knead thoroughly. roll very thin and prick all over with a fork or rolling docker. Cut into squares or shapes as desired. Bake on a lightly greased baking sheet at 400 degrees F. for 10 minutes.
Var; Use sour cream or yogurt if desired in place of buttermilk. Coarse salt, seeds or finely chopped nuts as a topping before baking also as desired.
