    • 1 1/2 C skim milk powder
    • 3 3/4 C water
    • 2 T plain yogurt for starter


    Instructions


    1. Combine powdered milk and water. Add starter and mix thoroughly.
    2. Strain into glass,crockery, or stainless bowl. Cover with dry dish towel and wrap bowl in a blanket. keep warm, ninety degrees F, overnight.If you have an oven with a pilot light, ideal.
    3. Next morning blot with paper towels to remove liquid from top.
    4. Remove 2 tablespoon and store in a jar for next starter. Place the yogurt in pint or half pint jars. keep refidgerated. will keep well for one week.
    5. Yogurt cheese: use in place of cream cheese. Put yogurt in cheesecloth lined strainer. don't squeeze it.Leave to drip overnight into a bowl, in fridge. semi-soft curd like cheese. Good for salads, dips or desserts.
