    1 recipe "Pastry to make Danishes"
    1 recipe Remonce
    1 recipe Vanilla creme
    raisins
    candied citron peel
    red cherries (opt)
    angelica bits (opt)
    egg glaze
    chopped almonds, and nuts

    Recipe



    Use a piece of base dough and roll to 8x16 and 1/2 inch thick. Along the edge nearest to you, spread some remonce and vanilla creme, then mayor paste is made into a long roll 1/2 inch in diameter and place on the fillings. Now sprinkle raisins and citron peel over and roll away from you jelly roll fashion, not too tight. Use rings to keep shape. If you dont have rings, an 8 inch cake pan and a tomato sauce can with both ends cut out will suffice. Place the small can in center and form the wreath around it. Make cuts in top of wreath with kitchen shears. Point the shears straight down and snip 1/2 way down into dough, with 1 1/2 inches of dough between snips. Let rise 45 minutes. Brush with egg glaze and sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 1/2 hour. Moderately spread with powdered sugar glaze.
