Vanilla creme for Danish pastries

1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon flour
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
Mix all the ingredients except the vanilla in the top of a double boiler. Add 2 tablespoons heavy cream to enhance texture.
Cook the mixture over boiling water, stirring constantly, until thick. Cool the mixture, stirring occasionally. Add the vanilla.
Use For Danish pastries.
