    CORNISH PASTIES

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 pound liver, diced
    3 potatoes diced
    1 onion, minced
    Salt and pepper
    1 3/4 cupsifted flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    6 tablespoons shortening

    Recipe

    Mix liver, potatoes and onion to­gether and season with salt, and pepper. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; cut In short­ening and when well blended add sufficient water to make dough. Place dough on a floured board and roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut into squares or circles and place a little of the meat mixture on half of each. Fold dough and press edges together. Bake in a slow oven (325 degrees)about 1 hour.

    Serves 4
