Kale Soup

List of Ingredients
1/2 pound ham or pork hock
2 1/2 quarts water
1 medium onion, minced
3 medium potatoes, cubed
3 medium carrots, cubed
1 1/2 C coarsely chopped green kale
flour to thicken
salt
pepperRecipe
Cook ham in water until tender. remove and cut in pieces. return to pan. Prepare vegetables. Add to soup and cook until almost tender. Chop kale and add to soup. Cook until kale is just tender. Thicken soup with flour and season to taste.
