    Frosting, Maple coconut

    Recipe Introduction

    Frosts 1, nine inch layer cake.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 C Log cabin syrup
    1 C sugar
    1 1/2 tsp light corn syrup
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp vanilla
    3/4 C Bakers Southern style coconut

    Recipe

    Put the syrups, sugar and egg whites in a double boiler. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water, beat constantly and cook 7 minutes or until it will stand in peaks. Remove from fire, add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread. Spread on cake and sprinkle thickly with coconut while still soft.
