    List of Ingredients


    • 4 T olive oil
    • one half of a medium onion, finely chopped
    • 2 T minced garlic
    • one half tsp. dried Mexican oregano
    • one half tsp ground cumin
    • 2 pinches cinnamon
    • 2 T New Mexico chili powder
    • 1 and one half T flour
    • 1, 15 ounce can tomato sauce
    • 1 and three quarter C. stock or bouillon
    • salt to taste


    Instructions


    1. Heat the oil over medium high heat. saute onion 5 minutes. Add garlic, oregano, cumin, cinnamon and chili powder. cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Add the flour and stir for 1 minute
    2. Reduce heat to medium and gradually stir in the tomato sauce and stock.. add bay leaf, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer,stirring occasionally to a thick coating consistency.
