Recipe Introduction
This condiment is served with meats.
Make 1 quart.
List of Ingredients
1 pint vinegar
2 T chili powder
1 T dry mustard
1/4 tsp salt
4 green tomatoes
2 green peppers
1 onion
1/2 tsp horse radishRecipe
Heat vinegar, add chili powder and boil 10 minutes. Add mustard and salt. Chop tomatoes, peppers and onion fine. Add horseradish and place in a jar. Add boiling vinegar to cover. This goes a long ways, unused portion should be left in the jar, making sure it is just covered with vinegar to seal out any air that will cause it to spoil.
I have never had any left over for too long so am not sure how long the storage life is in the fridge. Perhaps days, perhaps weeks ?
