List of Ingredients
- 4 ounce can Ancho chili sauce or smooth red chili sauce
- 1 1/8 pounds diced lean pork meat
- 1/2 of a pigs foot , cut in 3 pieces
- 3 C Teasdale white hominy, drained
- 1/2 head of chopped cabbage
- 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- water
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Place the meat and pigs foot in a soup pot and add just enough water to cover and salt to taste. cover and bring to a boil. cook until tender, add the hominy, simmer until it pops.
- Add chili sauce and enough water to a soupy consistency, boil 30 minutes more. Add onion, cayenne pepper, cabbage and lemon juice to taste.
