List of Ingredients
4 pounds ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
8 jalapeno peppers, sliced, using some of the seeds
2/3 C apple cider vinegar
3/4 tsp oregano
pinch cayenne
salt to taste
2 T tomato pasteRecipe
In a large 5 quart saute pan, simmer all ingredients, except jalapenos, for 10 minutes to reduce some of the excess tomato liquid. Then add jalapenos and simmer 10-15 minutes longer.
Keeps well in fridge for up to 1 month.
Makes 1 quart.
