List of Ingredients
3 C whipping cream
1 1/4 C whole milk
1/4 C creme de menth
1 C sugar
1 C lightly packed mint leaves
6-7 egg yolks, beaten
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Recipe
Bring first five ingredients to a boil. Remove from heat. Whisk the egg yolk in a bowl and very slowly, add the warm mixture, continue to whisk.
Pour back into pan, cook over medium high heat until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and immediately pour into shallow containers. Cool completely (8 hrs). Strain out mint leaves and freeze in ice cream maker following manufacturers directions.
