Ice Cream, Vanilla Custard

List of Ingredients
- 4 C half-and-half, divided
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 C sugar
- 2 T flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 T vanilla
Instructions
- Stir all except 2 cups half-and-half and vanilla in sauce pan. Cook until thickened. cook 2 minutes longer.
- Put in blender and add rest of ingredients. Beat 10 seconds. Pour into trays and and freeze until slushy.
- Empty one tray at a time into blender and liquify 10 seconds.return to trays and freeze covered with plastic wrap.
Final Comments
Variation;
Banana. Reduce vanilla to 1 teaspoon, blend one banana, sliced. 1/2 of a thin lemon slice, peeled. Blend 20 seconds and add to chilled ice cream mix, before freezing.
Maple nut; 1 tsp maple for vanilla. Chop 1 cup nuts, 1/4 cup at a time until coarsley chopped. Add to mix before freezing.
Strawberry; Crush 2 cups fresh berries and 1/4 cup sugar 15 seconds. Stir into slushy mix before freezing.
Peach; crush 2 cups sliced peaches and 1/2 cup sugar 15 seconds. Add to slush and freeze.
