List of Ingredients
A three-ounce serving of raw white button mushrooms contains just 18 calories, is fat free and naturally low in sodium, but contains more potassium, riboflavin (a B-vitamin), copper and selenium than a similar-size serving of broccoli, carrots or tomato.
Interestingly, some mushrooms are exposed to ultraviolet light, which makes them high in vitamin D (mushrooms manufacture vitamin D like our bodies do when skin is exposed to sunlight). Check for the vitamin D content on the label.
To cap it off, mushrooms may contain cancer-fighting properties, too.
