Funghi Marinati (marinated Mushrooms)

Serves 6 as an appetizer
List of Ingredients
1 pound sliced mushrooms
1 C dry white wine
1 bay leaf
1 garlic clove, crushed
3 peppercorns
1 inch stick cinnamon
1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
pinch rosemary
1/4 C olive oilRecipe
In a saucepan, combine mushrooms, wine, bay leaf, garlic and peppercorns. Bring to a boil and simmer five minutes. Add cinnamon stick, the eighth tsp nutmeg and rosemary. Simmer 5 minutes. Cover with olive oil and chill at least 12 hours.
