List of Ingredients
1 1/2 C lentils
2 large garlic cloves, crushed
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 C shredded coconut
1/2 tsp turmeric
fresh pepper
2 C chopped tart apples
2 T butter
1 C minced onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
juice of 1 large lemon

Cook lentils in two and one quarter cups water until soft. Add water as needed.
Meanwhile, saute all but the apples, in a heavy skillet. Add water as needed. Add apples and cook 10 minutes more. Add this to the lentils. Eat with Chappatis or whole wheat tortillas. Garnish with yogurt sauce.
2 C yogurt
1/2 tsp cumin
salt to taste
1-2 T minced onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 C finely chopped cilantro
Mix all well.
