    1 1/2 pound chicken breast
    2 tsp sugar
    1/3 C water
    1/4 C sherry
    1/4 C oil
    1 tsp ginger
    1 T cornstarch
    3 T soy sauce
    pea pods, cut up
    1/4 C slivered almonds

    Recipe



    Skin, bone and cut the chicken into one half inch cubes.
    Mix ginger, sugar and cornstarch. Blend in water, soy sauce and sherry. In a wok heat the oil over medium heat. Add almonds and brown. Add chicken and cook until meat just turns white. Pour in the sherry mixture and cook, stirring until it thickens. Add pea pods and stir until hot and glazed.
    Serve hot over white rice.
