Sausage and beans

Recipe Introduction
when I steam swiss chard, I cut the stems away and save them for other recipes. I also use leftovers in my beans and soups.
List of Ingredients
1 pound pinto beans
4 1/2 C water
2 (Knorr) ham flavored bouillon cubes,
(each makes 2 C liquid)
6 turkey hot dogs, ground 10 seconds in processor
2 leftover cooked link sausages, sliced thin
1 linguica sausage, sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves minced garlic
1 carrot, grated
1 T vinegar
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
2 T chili powder
4 C sliced swiss chard stems,
1/8 tsp cracked black pepper
Recipe
Bring the water and beans to a boil. Shut off the heat and let sit 1 hour. Return to a boil and cook 35 minutes on medium high heat. Add the meats and onion, cook 5 minutes. Add all other ingredients except the chard. cook 15 minutes then add chard and cook 15 minutes more.
