Recipe Introduction
Serves 4.
List of Ingredients
1/2 pound sirloin, cut into small thin pieces
2 T oil
1 C beef broth
1/4 C soy sauce
2 T sugar
1 large onion, sliced in rings
2 bunches scallion, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 C celery, sliced on diagonal
5 oz can bamboo shoots
8 oz can sliced water chestnuts
4 oz can mushroom bits and pieces
1 T cornstarch
1 T water
Recipe
Brown the meat in the oil.. Add broth, soy sauce and sugar. Simmer 10 minutes, then add onions and celery. Simmer 4 minutes, or until crisp tender. Add bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and mushrooms. Heat thoroughly. Combine cornstarch and water. Push ingredients to the side and thicken liquid with cornstarch. Serve over rice.
