    Sweet and Sour Pork - Quick method

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound pork
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/4cup cornstarch
    1/4 cup Japanese soy sauce
    1/3 cup vinegar

    Recipe




    Cut about I pound pork in small pieces and boil in water to which about 1/2 cup Japanese soy sauce has added
    Mix:
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/4cup cornstarch
    1/4 cup Japanese soy sauce
    1/3 cup vinegar
    After pork has cooked, remove from water and place in this sauce mixture and let stand for several hour
    Brown in a heavy skillet or pan:
    about 1/4 cup each of celery, green peppers scallions and onions to taste.
    Add meat and sauce. Cook and stir until sauce becomes clear.
    Add 1/2 cup or more of pineapple chunks and thin with pineapple juice until sauce is right in consistency and flavor.
