Pork Chops with Grapefruit, Braised

Flour
4 pork chops, 1 in. thick
2 tbsp. unsalted butter
1 tbsp. oil
2 sm. onions, sliced, separated
2 fresh pears, quartered
1 tsp. dried leaf marjoram
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 Florida grapefruits, sectioned
Recipe
Flour pork chops liberally on both sides. Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat. Brown pork chops on both sides. Remove from skillet. Saute onion rings in pan drippings in skillet. Return chops to skillet. Add pears and 1/2 cup water; sprinkle with marjoram and cinnamon. Cook over low heat for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until chops are tender and sauce is thick. Add grapefruit sections; heat briefly. Serve immediately.
