    List of Ingredients

    2 slices each rye bread, white bread
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 med onion, chopped
    4 sprigs of parsley
    3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 tbsp. butter
    1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
    1 tsp oregano

    Recipe

    Soak bread in 1 cup water in large bowl for several minutes. Mash bread with fork. Add ground beef, onion, parsley, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt and pepper; mix well. Place in baking dish. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Pour tomato sauce over meat loaf. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake 20 minutes longer. Yield: 4 servings.
