    Beef Ribs, Oven Baked

    List of Ingredients

    8-9 pounds of beef ribs, in 4 pieces
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    4 whole cloves
    2 tablespoons bacon fat
    4 cups beef broth

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Place ribs in a turkey roaster. season with salt, pepper and cinnamon. Place a clove on each and the bacon fat.. Add the broth. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for four hours, basting several times. The meat should be very tender and the bones should separate just by twisting them apart, much like a chicken leg when its done.Serve with a dipping sauce if desired.

    Chili dipping sauce
    In a blender, whirl the below ingredients;
    1 medium onion,roughly cut
    3 long red peppers,(not hot)
    2/3 of a 6 ouce can of tomato paste
    4 roasted garlic cloves
    1 cup water
    1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon gumbo file
    2 tablespoons chinese, plum dipping sauce
    Blend until onion isminced, Heat in a sauce pan 15-20 minutes. Serve with ribs .
    You can use red current jelly or grape jelly if desired in place of the plum sauce
    This is also a good substitute for chili sauce. Good with beans also.
