2 qt milk
2 eggs
1 qt buttermilk
1/2 C sugar
1 1/2 C raisins
Recipe
Boil milk. Beat eggs in buttermilk and add to hot milk slowly, to form cheese curds and whey. When it settles, reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes.
Add sugar and raisins and increase heat. Cook 1/2 hour or longer. Thicken with cornstarch mixed with cream if necessary.
Or;(recipe 2).
Boil 6 quarts whole milk steadily for 3 hours. Beat 4 eggs and mix 1 pint sour cream; add to boiling milk; let come to boiling point. Do not stir, remove from fire. Add a pinch of salt and sugar to taste, about 1/2 cup. Serve cold.
