Lutefisk grot-(pudding)

1 C rice
1 quart of milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 T butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
dash nutmeg
cooked lutefisk
Recipe
Scald the rice, bring several cups of water to a boil, toss in the rice and boil 3 minutes, stirring. Drain and rinse.
Then cook the rice in the milk until thick. Add rest of ingredients and pour into a buttered baking dish. add a little more scalded milk if necessary. Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs and bake in moderate oven about 1 hour.
Other fish may be used such as pike, pickerel, salmon, etc....
