    1/2 C butter
    3/4 C flour
    2 C sour cream
    1/2 C sugar
    1/4 C chopped almonds
    10 eggs, separated
    1 tsp crushed cardamom seeds
    2 T grated lemon rind

    Recipe



    Melt butter, blend in flour, stirring until smooth. Gradually add sour cream and sugar. Cook, slowly, stirring constantly until done.
    Cool, then beat in egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add rest of ingredients and lastly fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into buttered mold, cover tightly and steam 2 hours. Unmold and serve hot with a fruit sauce.
