Hominy, baking soda method

Prepare a solution of 4 level tablespoons of baking soda to each gallon of water. Put into a large container using one fourth as much corn as you have solution.
Place in a cool spot, covered. Check it daily until the hulls begin to slip. About a week or so.
Boil until hulls loosen. Skim the kernels out of the solution and rinse really well, under running water, until hulls are off.
I used a canning kettle, outside, and ran the water into the kettle at the final stage, and the hulls floated out of the kettle. some rubbing was necessary, but not much.
