    Capellini with Asparagus

    Serves 6-8.

    List of Ingredients




    2 pounds asparagus, cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 pound capelline (thin spaghetti)
    8 slices bacon, cut in 1 inch pieces
    1/2 C sliced green onion
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/4 C butter
    1/2 C light cream
    3/2 C Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    In a skillet cook bacon until crisp. remove to a paper towel to drain. save the fat in the skillet
    Cook asparagus in boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and return to pot, with a tsp of butter, to keep warm.
    In the bacon fat in skillet, saute onions until soft. Add asparagus and pepper. Heat through. Toss together spaghetti, asparagus mixture, bacon, butter, cream and cheese.
