    Macaroni and Cheese with Ham

    List of Ingredients




    1 C Black Mountain cheddar cheese wit garlic, wine and parsley
    1 C sharp white cheddar cheese
    1 C cubed ham
    2 T flour
    2 T butter
    2 C milk
    2 C Elbow macaroni

    Recipe



    Grate the cheeses and set aside. Make the white sauce by heating the butter on medium high heat, add the flour and cook until it bubbles and becomes white in appearance, then add the milk, and while doing this boil the macaroni to al dente. Drain the macaroni well. Add the cheese to the white sauce and cook, stirring until thickened. Add the ham and remove from the heat for a minute, with a lid on the pot. Stir the macaroni in and serve hot. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

    If you can't find the cheese omit 1/4 cup of milk and add white wine, 1 tablespoon finely minced parsley and pressed garlic to taste. Double the amount of sharp cheddar.
