2 C barley flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 T shortening
cold water
Recipe
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Work in the cold water to a very soft dough. Press into the pie plate, patting into shape with hands, to 1/2 inch thick.
Use time and temperature of the pie you are making. Good as a crust for savory pies.
