List of Ingredients
1/2 C mashed potatoes
2 C flour
1 T sugar
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 C butter
1/2 C milk
1/4 C mayonnaise
1/2 C shredded cheese
Filling;
1 pound ground beef
2 T minced onion
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3/4 C cooked potatoes, cubed
1 egg
1/4 C catsup
1/4 C hamburger relish
1 T mustard
Recipe
With fingers combine first 5 ingredients. Break up butter and cut in. Add milk and mayonnaise. Blend to a soft dough. Divide in half. shape into balls. Roll out one ball to a 9 inch circle. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Spread filling to within a half of an inch of edge. Sprinkle with cheese. Roll out remaining dough and place on filling. Seal edges. brush with milk and sprinkle with chopped onion or seeds if desired. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
Filling;
Saute first 5 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
Var;
Tuna (or other fish)
Omit ground beef and use 14 ounces of cooked fish. Omit catsup, relish and mustard. Use a can of cream of celery or mushroom soup and 1 T lemon juice.
