6 boned, skinned, chicken breasts
Salt to taste
1 6-oz. package sliced Swiss cheese
6 thin slices ham
FIour
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp instant chicken bouillon
1 3-oz can sliced mushrooms
1/3 C sautern
Toasted almonds
Recipe
Pound chicken breasts lightly to 1/4 inch thickness with wooden mallet. Sprinkle with salt. Place cheese slice on each piece of chicken. Fold sides in; roll up to enclose filling. Press to seal. Coat with 1/4 cup flour. Brown chicken in butter in skillet. Remove to 11x7x1 1/2-inch baking dish. Stir 1/2 cup water,bouillon, mushrooms and sauterne into pan drippings, mixing well. Pour over chicken; cover. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1-1 1/2 hours or until tender. Transfer chicken to warm platter. Blend 2 tablespoon flour with 1/2 cup water. Pour liquid from baking pan into saucepan. Stir flour mixture into liquid. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Pour a small amount over chicken. Garnish with almonds. Serve chicken with remaining gravy.
