    Ghe Yoke Chop Sui-(chop suey)

    List of Ingredients

    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp sugar
    3 T water
    2 1/2 T soy sauce
    2 T cornstarch
    2 T rice wine or sherry
    1 egg, well beaten
    4 stalks celery, cut diagonally
    1/2 C mushrooms
    1/2 C bean sprouts
    1 large bell pepper
    1/2 C sliced bamboo shoots
    1/2 C sliced water chestnuts
    1 small onion, finely sliced
    1/2 C shredded carrots
    1/2 C shredded cabbage
    1/2 pound thinly sliced pork
    1/2 pound shrimp (optional)
    1/2 pkg fried noodles

    Recipe

    Saute the pork in oil until tender. Remove from pan. Combine the salt, sugar, cornstarch and sherry. In the same pan as the pork was cooked in saute the vegetables with remaining ingredients until tender. Serve with rice.
    Var;
    Use chicken or beef.
