Spanish rice au gratin

List of Ingredients
1/2 C raw rice
1 C water
1/2 c chopped onion
1/3 C chopped bell pepper
1/2 C chopped celery
1 1/2 T butter
1 C stewed tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 C grated cheeseRecipe
Combine rice, water and salt. Bring to a boil. Stir, cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 14 minutes. Meanwhile, cook onions, bell pepper and celery in butter. Add tomatoes, salt, sugar, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. Add cooked rice and and simmer until thick. Pour into a buttered casserole and top with cheese. Place under broiler and melt cheese
