1 T butter or margarine
1/2 C long grain rice
1 C beef broth
1 15.5-ounce can Trappy's black eyed peas with bacon
or with bacon and jalapeno, drained
1 14.5-ounce can Trappy's okra and tomatoes, drained
2 green onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add rice and saute 5 minutes until golden brown. Add broth. Cover and cook 40-45 minutes until tender. Stir in blackeyed peas, okra and tomatoes, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 5-10 minutes until liquid is absorbed and vegetables are heated through.
