Composed-Macaroni Salad

List of Ingredients
7oz elbow macaroni
water to cook macaroni
1/2 C mayonnaise
1 tsp prepared mustard
1 tblsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp jalapeno relish
2 fresh basil leaves, minced
1 roast garlic, mashed
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 small bell pepper, diced
1/2 C flaked white fish (optional)
or diced chicken and 1 tsp minced tarragon,(optional)
Recipe
This is a basic recipe for macaroni salad, some variations are included below, try some of your own variations if desired. Cook the macaroni in plenty of boiling salted water, drain and cool. Mix with the remaining ingredients and chill before serving.If using chicken omit basil. If using fish try tartar sauce in place of half or all of the mayonnaise. Or try vegetables such as, 1-2 stalks of celery, chopped, 1/4 C peas and 3/4 c cubed cheese, and 2 hard boiled eggs either chopped and mixed in salad or sliced as a garnish.
