Barbecued Meat Sandwiches

List of Ingredients
One pound ground beef or lamb
1 tablespoon lard or dripping
1 large onion chopped fine
1 green bell pepper, ground or chopped fine
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup catsupRecipe
Brown meat in fat until crumbly . Add rest of ingredients, cover and simmer slowly for 30 minutes. Serve on buns, toasted or plain.
Note: this recipe is from the forties or fifties. You might want to use oil or shotening in place of lard.
