Cheese Fillings for Burgers;
Cheddar, 3/4 C grated, small onion chopped and mustard.
Blue cheese and nut; 4oz blue cheese & 1/4 C chopped walnuts.
Mozzarella, 4 ozs.
Cream cheese and horseradish; 3 T cheese & 2 tsp horseradish.
Meat Fillings for Burgers;
Place 1 heaping tsp of any of the following on patties, top with another and seal edges.
Ham and pineapple, 1/2 C minced ham and chopped pineapple.
Bacon, Fry, drain and crumble.
Sausage, finely chop smoked sausage.
Vegetables Filling For Burgers,
Avocado and sauteed onion.
Marinated artichokes, or eggplant and cheese.
Capers; Place 1 tsp capers on each patty, Seal edges.
mushroom and onion,
1 lrg onion, finely chopped
1/2 pound mushrooms, very thinly sliced
salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and use 1 rounded tsp on 8 patties. Seal edges.
or,
Finely chop the mushrooms, add 3 T butter and an 8 oz can
water chestnuts, finely chopped. omit onions and saute in
butter. Pickled mushrooms are OK.
Finely chopped dill or sweet pickle can sub for capers.
