Spicy Bourbon Sauce

1/2 C unsalted butter, room temperature
1 C firm pack brown sugar
1/4 C water
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 T ground ginger
pinch cayenne
1 large egg yolk
1/4 C bourbonRecipe
In small saucepan, combine first 7 ingredients. Over medium heat, cook, stirring occassionally, until butter is melted.
Reduce heat to medium low and add bourbon. Continue cooking, stirring with a wooden spoon, until it begins to thicken. Remove from heat.
