    Peel, core and stew a pound and a half of apples with a pint of water until tender. Add sugar to taste. Mix 2 heaped tablespoons of cornflour in a little water, add to the boiling apples and cook for a few minutes. Turn the apple cream into a glass dish and set aside to cool. Serve with milk.
