List of Ingredients
1 pound cooked potatoes,(3 medium)
1/2 C finely diced pickled beets
1 1/2 pounds beef
2 egg yolks, beaten
1/4 C cream
2 T chopped onion
1 T capers
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepperRecipe
Grind the beef twice and mix together the beef, egg yolks, cream, onion and capers. Add the seasonings.
Drain the potatoes. To dry shake over low heat. Peel potatoes and set aside. When cool finely dice them and blend into the meat mixture with the beets. Chill 1-2 hours.
Shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Brown in 3 T butter, turning once. 10-15 minutes total cooking time.
