1/2 C sugar
1 T cornstarch
1 c boiling water
1 egg, well beaten
3 T lemon juice
1 teaspoon butterRecipe
Combine sugar and cornstarch, add boiling water slowly, stirring continuously until smooth. Bring to a boil. Add slowly to lemon juice and egg mixture, stirring until well mixed. return to fire and cook until thickened and smooth. Remove from fire and add butter. cool and serve on pudding or on sliced fruit cake.
